Elle Barela

PA-C

Elle Barela is a certified Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Bastyr University in Washington state. She continued to pursue her passion for medical science by attending the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she obtained her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.

Elle has always been passionate about Women’s Health and gained experience in OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology throughout clinical rotations. She is honored to have the opportunity to be a part of patients' reproductive journey and help them attain the family they desire.

Outside of work, Elle enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.

Amanda Bird

MPAS, PA-C

Amanda Bird, certified Physician Assistant was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After discovering her passion for healthcare, Amanda studied biology at the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating with honors. She continued to pursue this passion by attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she obtained her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.

Amanda has always had a strong interest in women's health, gaining valuable experience in both Reproductive Endocrinology and OB/GYN throughout her clinical year of training. Amanda has worked at Conceptions since 2014, where she thoroughly enjoys helping patients complete their family.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys cooking, traveling, getting outdoors and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Stephanie Kagan

MSN, WHNP

Stephanie, one of our Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners, was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. She attended the University of Central Florida where she graduated at the top of her class with her BSN.

Stephanie started her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery nurse in Pennsylvania where her passion for women’s health grew. She then attended Thomas Jefferson University in the heart of Philadelphia for her Master’s in Nursing where she specialized in Women’s Health. She completed her graduate project on ‘The Impact of Nutrition on Reproductive Health’ and strongly believes that it is never too late to start investing in your own health and well-being to become the healthiest version of yourself while improving your fertility along the way. Stephanie has been an NP in Reproductive Medicine since 2015 and is incredibly proud to be a part of the Conceptions team. Stephanie has been through the IVF process herself and is very familiar with the special needs/disabled community after having her daughter with a rare genetic condition. She is passionate about helping families grow despite the challenging roads they may have taken to get here.

Outside of the office, she spends most of her free time making memories with husband, son and daughter doing all things outdoor related including trail running, outdoor cycling, and hiking. She is also a big Cody Rigsby fan on the Peloton!

Chelsea Reed

MSN, FNP

Chelsea Reed, board certified Family Nurse Practitioner was born and raised in the North Texas area. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington for her BSN and graduated with honors.

After nursing school Chelsea first worked as a beside nurse and then moved into a position as an IVF coordinator in 2011. It was during her 5 years as a nurse coordinator that Chelsea found her passion for women’s health and fertility. She went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University and started practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in 2016 at a fertility clinic in Seattle. Chelsea is excited to be able to continue practicing in the field of reproductive endocrinology at Conceptions and helping patients build their families.

When Chelsea is not working, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, home improvement projects, traveling, and board game nights with friends.

Jennifer Weiss

MPAS, PA-C

Jennifer Weiss, a Certified Physician Assistant, was born and raised in Colorado. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University, where she affirmed her interest in healthcare. She went on to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus to obtain her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.

Jennifer always had a strong interest in women's health, so following school she elected to do an OB/GYN residency at Arrowhead/Riverside County Regional Medical Center in southern California. There she learned about all aspects of women's health and gained incredible experience, delivering over 250 babies. After residency, she furthered her experience in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and general OB/GYN care.

She is excited to have the privilege of walking alongside patients, in their journey to build a family, and is dedicated to providing them with patient-centered care.

When Jennifer is not working at Conceptions, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and 2 children.

Channing Wells

WHNP-BC

Channing Wells is a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping families fulfill their dreams of becoming parents. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Denver School of Nursing. She later completed her Master’s in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner studies at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

With over a decade of experience in women’s health, including nine years specializing in fertility care as a nurse, Channing has supported countless patients through their reproductive journeys. Her approach combines evidence-based practice with compassionate, personalized care, ensuring patients feel supported and empowered every step of the way.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Channing now calls Colorado home, where she lives with her husband and three young boys. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, live music, skiing, and exploring the Colorado outdoors.
Channing is honored to be part of the Conceptions RMA team, where she can continue advocating for women’s health and helping patients navigate the path to parenthood.
