Our IVF Laboratory
Conceptions is committed to providing our patients with a state-of-the-art IVF laboratory and being a leader in successful outcomes, both locally and nationally. Conceptions has continuously invested in technology and have partnered with industry leaders to push the bar higher for patient success. The Conceptions Laboratory is also CAP accredited; CAP accreditation program has been the champion of laboratory excellence and a certification boasted by superior laboratories.
Incubators
Conceptions has 7 Esco MIRI incubators and 2 K-System incubators for embryo culture. The Esco MIRI Multiroom incubator is the best option for securing embryos in the IVF laboratory. With its 6 independent chambers, not only does it provide our embryologists a bigger capacity to accommodate more embryos, but it also ensures that the small, micro-environmental parameters are maintained even when the neighboring chambers are opened. It also gives the best temperature recovery, accuracy, and uniformity on the IVF incubator market with its heated lid design. This feature ensures that temperature given to your embryos are not only sourced from the bottom of the dish but is also given on the top with a set point of 37.2C to ensure that exactly 37.0C is given to your samples.
These incubators also are equipped with dataloggers that monitor the culture environment 24/7. All incubators are also connected to an alarm system, so embryologists are always monitoring incubator performance. Conceptions has a system in place to make sure that the incubators are replace on a rotational schedule to ensure our patients have the best updated technology for optimal outcomes.
pH
Conceptions uses the i-STAT pH meter to monitor culture media function. pH is extremely important to support optimal embryo growth and is monitored daily.
The i-STAT is the same pH meter that is used by the companies that make the culture media, so Conceptions ensures that the pH is optimized per the manufacture’s certificate of analysis.
RI Witness
Conceptions was the first clinic in Colorado to utilize the RI witness system for patient verification and safety of gametes and embryos. RI Witness uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to detect and monitor all activity in the IVF Laboratory. The system helps mitigate the risk of human error every time samples are moved from one dish or tube to another and safeguards every step of the IVF cycle.
RI Witness is now the world’s most established and trusted ART electronic witnessing system, installed in over 40 countries across six continents.
ICSI/Biopsy Stations
The Conceptions laboratory is equipped with 3 new ICSI/Biopsy stations. All three are fitted with Olympus microscopes and TMC anti-vibration tables. All 3 stations have laser systems attached for embryo biopsy, assisted hatching, and photo taking capabilities. Two stations have RI Integra micromanipulators, and one has a Narishige micromanipulator.
These systems are meticulously maintained and updated to provide our embryologists with the current technology.
TMRW
Conceptions was the first clinic in Colorado to implement the world’s most sophisticated embryo storage system in the world – TMRW. TMRW’s integrated software and hardware solution ensures that eggs and embryos are both traceable using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and safely maintained at cryogenic (or ultra-low) temperatures.
With TMRW’s platform, tracking and locating embryos and oocytes, keeping patient data secure, and performing inventory audits can be done instantly and via touchscreen software that’s as easy to use as an ATM. By automating tasks prone to human error, TMRW provides peace of mind to embryologists, fertility clinics, and patients, while raising the standard of care for fertility treatments.
IVF Workstations
Conceptions has 6 advanced Fortuna IVF workstations are specially designed to meet the needs of a busy IVF laboratory where Class I protection is required.
All gamete/embryo handling takes place in IVF workstations, where air flow and temperature are highly regulated to maintain the integrity of the safety and health of all cells in the lab.
LifeAire
Conceptions is fitted with an advanced air filtration system, LifeAire, and is recognized as a center of excellence. Conception’s clean room eliminates all known airborne pathogens that can affect healthy embryogenesis. LifeAire System’s Aire~IVF is clinically proven to significantly improve clinical outcomes.
Its patented, multi-staged molecular media and UV technologies combine to neutralize up to 99.99% of biological and chemical contaminants within source and return air—in a single pass through the system. No other system, in-room or in-duct has the capability to continuously purify air at the levels guaranteed by LifeAire. Implementation and investment in Conceptions’ advanced air filtration system keeps your embryos safe from environmental effects from wildfires or any other air pollution within the vicinity of Conception’s IVF laboratory.
Andrology and Endocrinology
The Conceptions Reproductive Associates Diagnostics Laboratory at 251 West County Line Road is a brand new, free-standing, 2127 square foot state-of-the-art diagnostics laboratory with andrology and endocrine services. The andrology lab offers a full range of services to aid in diagnosis and treatment of male infertility. The lab also provides andrology services to physicians and clinics throughout the Denver metropolitan area.
The Conceptions diagnostic laboratory is equipped with the latest technology, including 2 Roche e801 modules attached to an 8000 core, making the Conception’s diagnostic laboratory the first in the state of Colorado to utilize these instruments as part of their fertility diagnostic testing. Conception’s lab is also equipped with two state-of-the-art Origio hoods to provide sterile processing of all samples received for sperm testing. We also deploy the use of RI electronic witnessing, the global standard for mismatch avoidance.
Andrology
Our Andrology lab is certified by CLIA and the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We offer private collection rooms so that patients may collect samples on site. Patients have the option to obtain a home collection kit if they can drop the sample off within an hour with an appointment. At the time of sample drop off, either at home or in office, one of our Andrologists will review paperwork, confirm testing required, and check your I.D. From there your sample is processed upholding the upmost standards of quality control.

Endocrinology
Our Endocrine Laboratory at 251 is accredited by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments Act (CLIA), and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Our Endocrine Lab operates 7 days a week, and our staff uses the Roche e 801 testing platform to process in house labs daily. We offer endocrine testing including Estrogen, Progesterone, LH, FSH, DHEA-S, HCG+ Beta, and AMH. We also provide thyroid hormone testing which is critical to patient fertility treatment. Our Thyroid testing menu includes, T4, TSH, DHEA-S, Prolactin, Testosterone, and Vitamin D. By having its own onsite Endocrine lab, Conceptions can process labs daily from our 3 satellite offices, which minimizes turnaround times for results, makes physician monitoring time more efficient, and offers the ability to run STAT labs quickly and effectively.

Our newly renovated business office has adequate staffing and office space to meet with our patients in office or over the phone.
Our financial counselors have a wealth of experience to help patients concentrate on their IVF journey without the burden of navigating through the financials and covered benefits of their medical care. Conceptions is contracted will most insurance plans and has been a Center of Excellence and Institute of Excellence company for 8 years and running.

Conceptions
Our main Littleton facility is the location where our patients have their IVF procedures performed. Mark Bush, Conceptions CEO and Medical Director, has spared no expense and dedicated years of service to construct a center that is respected at the state and national level, in both technological advancements and patient outcomes.
The Littleton facility has 3 levels that encompasses the state-of-the art IVF laboratory, HSG department, physicians’ offices, two ultrasound rooms, exam rooms, nurses’ offices, phlebotomy lab, and 2 OR suites. The HSG department houses the latest equipment, including the GE OEC 9800 Plus HSG machine, that helps us diagnose established and referral patients from the OBGYN community.
The ultrasound department has updated machines, including a GE Voluson S10 3D ultrasound. Conception’s two OR rooms are both attached to the IVF laboratory and are outfitted with the latest equipment for preforming ultrasound guided oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers, as well as first trimester D&C and cyst draining.
The Conceptions Littleton location protected from power failure by a natural gas generator that can power the clinical departments for days should a blackout or weather event interrupt electric utility supplied power.
